Cordillera's Top 5 Most Wanted arrested in Tabuk City

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A man accused of raping a minor in Tabuk City will be answering charges against him in jail as no bail was recommended for his temporary freedom while on trial.

 

The suspect, tagged as number 5 regional top most wanted person in the Cordillera, was captured by the police on June 4 in Tabuk City, Kalinga, according to the Police Community Affairs and Development Group Cordillera.   

 

The man who was not named by the authorities has a warrant of arrest for Qualified Rape of a Minor or violation of the Republic Act 8353 or the Anti-Rape Law of 1997 in relation with RA 11648. The arrest warrant was issued against the suspect in January this year. 

 

After the document was served to him on Wednesday, the police took him to the Tabuk City Police Station for proper documentation prior his turn-over to the court.

 

Meanwhile, police officers in Kalinga documented 6 rape cases from January to March 2025, all of them were committed in Tabuk City. Moreover, from the 28 reported rape cases in 2024, 19 were recorded in the province’s capital.
