Couple in their 20s arrested in Baguio for making love at Burnham Park

Baguio City, Philippines – A young couple in their early 20s was arrested for a grave scandal after they were caught making love at Burnham Park in Baguio City recently.

While the Baguio City government has an existing ordinance prohibiting ‘petting, kissing, necking, and lying down together’ in parks to protect children from lewd and inappropriate acts, there are still those who take chances – the latest case involved a pair described to be a 23-year-old male student from Pangasinan and a 22-year-old woman from La Union.

As cited by local media on September 3, the couple was first seen by a security guard making out at the bleachers near the comfort room at the Children’s Park, but the security personnel disregarded them and went on with his regular patrolling. However, when he returned to the same area, it was then that he caught the two in an inappropriate act, with the man standing and fixing his pants.

This prompted the security guard to alert the Tourist Police Unit, who responded to the incident and arrested the young couple. The pair was brought to the police station for proper documentation and filing of charges.

It could be recalled that in April 2025, there was another couple charged for a grave scandal after having sex at the Biking Lane of the Inner Lake Drive of the Burnham Park. The two were released from prison after posting bail.
