Dagupan Centro, Tabuk City completes mass testing exceeding target

Tabuk City, Kalinga― 417 individuals participated in the free swab testing as part of the Aggressive Community Testing (ACT) in the city held in front of Barangay Dagupan Centro Hall this February 22, 2021 which was labelled a success in comparison to other areas where swab test participation was low.

Punong Barangay George Esteras expressed his appreciation to his constituents who joined the activity, saying they did not have a hard time convincing the residents who willingly submitted themselves to the free swab testing provided.

“Napintas ti outcome na. Haan met nga narigatan, adda metlang dagiti nakisali nga from sabali nga barangay,” he said.

Esteras said that with the 417 individuals swabbed tested, they have exceeded the target number of 400 individuals. He also mentioned that the results of the swab testing is set to be released on February 25, 2021.

Moreover, he said that those who will turn out positive with the CoViD-19 may undergo strict home quarantine. If they exhibit severe symptoms, they shall be referred to and be treated at the Barangay Isolaton Unit (BIU).

“Ibagbaga mi nga uray nagpositive kayo ta nag announce nak diay simbaan wag la ketdi nga severe mabalin kayo nga aghome quarantine diyay ti naiwaras waras ta deperensya met ti agdigus ka diay balay mo ken agdigus ka ti isolation, agalwad da lang,” he said.

The activity is part of the one week ACT in the province that started last February 18, 2021 with a target of 8,105 individuals to be subjected to RT-PCR test.

The ACT in the city covers 9 barangays: Barangays Bulanao Centro, Bulanao Norte, Bado Dangwa, Casigayan, Dagupan Centro, Dagupan Weste, Malin-awa, Balawag, and New Tanglag.
