Dialysis patients in Kalinga can now have treatment for Php300.00

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Now that the Kalinga Provincial Hospital Ward is open for dialysis patients, it has brought huge relief to many families as expenses for kidney dialysis treatment will be greatly reduced.

Patients who used to go to Tuguegarao or Isabela can now avail of the services provided by KPH in partnership with the Saint Mary Kidney Care in Bulanao at the KPH compound for only 300 pesos per treatment. This is because of the 2,900 pesos fee per session, Philhealth shall shoulder 2,600 pesos.

In an interview with Rio Kristine Segoma, Administrative Officer, she said the ward can accomodate around 20 patients daily with their 10 machines. Nevertheless, if the need arises, she added that they can add their shifts to accomodate other patients.

According to the report of the Kalinga PLGU, the KPH Dialysis Ward obtained its license to operate last December 28, 2020 and that the dialysis ward shall acquire its accreditation from Philhealth soon.

The Ward is open to those seeking treatment from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and from Monday to Friday.
