‘Don’t let COVID-19 stop you from succeeding in life, ansinnagkat taku’ - Kalinga Gov. Tubban

Tabuk City, Kalinga - Provincial Governor, Engr. Ferdinand B. Tubban told the public and the architects to not allow the dreaded COVID-19 to take away their hopes and stop them from achieving their objectives in life, saying “we have each other, ansinnagkat taku.”


Tubban made the remark during the turnover and induction ceremony of United Architect of the Philippines (UAP) District 1AB conducted at Davidson Hotel and Restaurant this September 22, 2021.


In his message as one of the guest speakers, he recognized the pivotal role of the architects in the country, provinces, cities, and municipalities in trying to overcome the challenges of COVID-19 which exempts no one of its effects and devastation.


“Covid-19 pandemic is a difficult ordeal that we continuously face isunga adda makuna nga ansinnagkat nga kuna ti Tanudan, mansinnagkat nga kuna iti Pasil, mansillaggat ti Lubuagan nga isu ti tema nga mangnaynayun iti kapanunutan dagiti kasapulan tayo itatta nga panawen,” Tubban stated.

Architects, the governor said, possess the skill of designing smart-assigned buildings and infrastructures, customized to prevent health risk. He cited their outputs such as the modern designs of buildings including “segregation of circulatory air flows, all because we want to stop the spread of the virus.”


With their significant contribution, Tubban is “certain that the architects’ designs will be adoptable in the changing times whilst inspiring one another.”


“I am optimistic that the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) will continue to be our partner in building safe communities, embattling pandemic in many other ways of sustaining our goals in developments,” the governor underscored.


Tubban encouraged the former, the newly inducted officers, and the members to serve with vigor and promote unity among Filipino architects towards the practice of the profession with utmost ethical conduct and discipline.


The governor emphasized that “it is working together that we can overcome obstacles, rise above this pandemic, and continue to improve the quality of lives and the welfare of our fellowmen for a brighter tomorrow.”


“I pray to Almighty God for His grace that He may bless all of you in your journey and the activities of your organization,” Tubban said to UAP District 1AB comprising Cagayan Valley Chapter, Cagayan North Chapter, Isabela Sierra-Madre Chapter, Isabela Amianan Chapter, Nueva Vizcaya Chapter, and the soon to be chartered chapter- Kalinga Rio Chico Chapter.
