Baguio City, Philippines – After graduating with flying colors from college, a Saint Louis University alumnus has achieved another remarkable feat in his scholastic journey.
Bryan Paul Capinding Balancia, a Department of Science and Technology (DOST) scholar, completed his degree in Mechanical Engineering at SLU in July 2023, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Months after receiving his diploma, Balancia joined over 6,000 future engineers in taking the Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination (MELE) on February 20-22, 2024.
On February 27, the Professional Regulation Commission announced that Balancia not only passed the exam but also ranked among the top 10 performing examinees.
With a score of 92.20%, the DOST scholar secured the second position in the February 2024 MELE.
Joining Balancia among the new mechanical engineers are 117 SLU graduates.
The February 2024 MELE was administered by the PRC at testing centers located in NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, and Zamboanga.
