TABUK CITY, Kalinga — Sangguniang Panlungsod Member Atty. Errol B. Comafay Jr. has submitted a proposed resolution seeking an investigation in aid of legislation into the alleged operation of “drop ball” gambling inside the Bulanao Market compound.

In a post on September 10, 2026, Comafay said he submitted the resolution to determine why a “drop ball” gambling operation is allegedly being conducted inside the market compound.

Comafay highlighted that the Bulanao Market is public property, while the area where the alleged gambling operation is being conducted is only a few meters away from the Bulanao Police Sub-Station and the Bulanao Barangay Hall.

The proposed resolution states that the alleged “drop ball” is being operated inside an abandoned building within the market compound.

It further seeks to invite the Chief of Police of Tabuk City and the Punong Barangay of Bulanao to attend the next session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod and provide information regarding the matter.

The proposed legislative inquiry aims to determine whether illegal gambling is being operated within the public property, particularly in an area located near a police sub-station and the barangay hall.

The allegation of illegal “drop ball” gambling has yet to be established and remains subject to investigation by the appropriate authorities.
