Drunk rider killed in motorcycle-van collision in Enrile, Cagayan

Enrile, Cagayan – Tragedy struck the roads of Enrile, Cagayan as a 22-year-old man lost his life in a road crash that transpired while he was heading home over the weekend.

Police responded to the crash along the national road in Enrile, Cagayan around 7 p.m on March 16.

When there, they found out a motorcycle and a van was involved in the crash.

Accordingly, while on said road, John Paul Telan, the victim inadvertently veered into the lane of the van driven by John Ryco Aggarao, 32, who was then en route to Tuguegarao City.

This resulted in the crash. Telan was thrown off his motorcycle, inflicting severe injuries in various parts of his body.

While he was swiftly ferried at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) for medical attention, his attending physician declared Telan dead on arrival.

Police inquiries disclosed that the victim, aside from being under the influence of alcohol, was also not wearing helmet at the time of the incident.

Both parties of the victim already had a talk regarding the issue, potentially leading for the case to be settled amicably.
