DTI – Kalinga grants 41 Tanudan entrepreneurs livelihood starter kits

Tanudan, Kalinga – A total of 41 entrepreneurs from the Municipality of Tanudan received their livelihood starter kits from the Department of Trade and Industry – Kalinga, during the distribution held at the Municipal Hall on May 6, 2022.


These were the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) beneficiaries of DTI’s Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa - Livelihood Seeding Program (PPG-LSP), which aims to help the MSMEs recover from the negative impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.


In his welcome remarks, Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag represented by his Executive Assistant Alex Ladwingon thanked DTI-Kalinga for continuously supporting the micro businesses in Tanudan.


With the re-opening of the economy after being paralyzed due to the lockdowns imposed to curb the spread of Covid-19 since 2020, Dagadag expressed that programs supporting micro-businesses contribute to reviving and boosting the economy.

On the other hand, DTI Kalinga Provincial Director, Renie Ramos hopes that the starter kits will help improve the productivity of the businesses of the recipients. He also challenged the 41 entrepreneurs to maximize the use of their business kits and utilize the kits really well for the growth of their business and that when they are going to be monitored soon, they will be proud to report that their business has expanded.

Meantime, around 537 MSMEs in Kalinga have benefitted from the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa - Livelihood Seeding Program of the DTI.
