Tabuk City, Kalinga – Re-electionist Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang took to social media on May 07, 2022 his stand over consecutive political security threats that his camp has experienced.

Mangaoang through his Facebook page posted the police report of the latest incident against his staff at the Congressman’s Municipal Headquarters and Felipe’s Residence that transpired at around 10:00 PM on Friday, May 06 at Babalag West, Rizal, Kalinga.

In the said police report, the authorities identified the suspects as “Bawas” Bal-iwang, Roy Mangik, Ruben Bannas and six other unidentified companions who are allegedly all residents of Sitio Kimatan, Lubuagan Kalinga.

The victims on the other hand were identified as Noreen Joy Busaiya, 24; Mar Joy Pio, 36; and Gladys Gabino, 32. All are staff members of Mangaoang and are residing at Sitio Anunang, Rizal, Kalinga.

According to the Rizal police, the victims were preparing appointment papers for the poll watchers when several armed men on-board two Forward dump trucks colored blue and black and two motorcycles arrived.

After firing their guns four times, four of the suspects entered the compound and approached the victims with their firearms.

The armed men then allegedly took the coupons, thinking they were cash, They also took all the folders, papers, and including the shoulder bag of one of the victims before kicking and overturning the tables and chairs, leaving the place in disarray.

They then fled towards the north direction onboard their vehicles and motorcycles.

“Idi itawag da kanyatayun, kunak a nagsarita iti sarilik ta agsangsangit ni baket ko.

Sumob-sobra dan kunak nga kasdiay sunga kapilitan nga tinawagak ni apo Provincial Commander. Apo Provincial Commander, agibaun ka man iti police mo. Ibaun mo man ti police Rizal ta agresponde da ta nu awan ti agresponde, sikami ti agresponden ket mangamong ditan kunak ket bay-am kunana piman,” narrated Mangaoang.

With the checkpoints put up by the responding personnel, Tabuk City Police Station informed Rizal PS that the Blue Forward with seven persons aboard, reportedly used by the suspects was intercepted at Barangay Nambaran, Tabuk City, Kalinga.

A search conducted on the vehicle resulted in the recovery of the white shoulder bag containing the personnel belongings of one of the victims.

The victim positively identified Ruben Bannas as one of the four men who took her bag.

Investigators recovered one spent cartridge for gauged 12 shotgun near the crime scene.

Suspects are now under the custody of this police station pending the filing of appropriate charges against them.

Same dump truck used to kidnap Engr. Smith Dawaton

Mangaoang said the same dump truck was used to kidnap Engr. Smith Dawaton during the congressman’s campaign at San Pablo, Lacnog West on Monday.

“Madama nak agsarsarita, dinukot da ni apo Engr. Smith Dawaton, naka-hood nga dinukot da. Idi saludsuden tayo iti tattao nu sino ti nangdukot, blue nga dump track kunada, tinutukan da ti paltog isuna, inlugan da, intaray da ta Hilltop,” recalled Mangaoang.

He added that a politician interviewed Dawaton when he was brought at the Hilltop. They allegedly opened the victim’s bag as they thought that he was distributing money.

“Pinalukat da diay bag na ta ti ammu da ket agwarwaras iti kwarta ti staff tayo ta siak garud iti agkomkompanya ngem idi lukatan da ti bag. Ni Darwin Estranero met ti adda idiay ta tao ni Darwin Estranero ni apo Engr. Smith Dawaton,” the congressman added.

The politician interviewing the victim then asked where he is from. When Dawaton responded that he is from Pasil, they released him.

“Tapos idi sinaludsud da, tinawagan da ti kabsat ti maysa politiko ket kunada nga tao tayo data kunada ket kunada met datoy mangin-interview nga politico, taga’tno ka kunana. Taga-Pasil nak. Ay, man-aagi taku gayam kunana nga agsarita isunga pinakawalan da. Insubli da diay bag na. Han nga nagpa-police blotter diay tao, inmay da nanang ken tatang na, bay an yun ta saan da met nga sinaktan diay anak ko kunana,” relayed Mangaoang.

Dump truck used for another threat

According to Mangaoang, the dump truck was also used to threaten his watchers and coordinators in Mapaoay. Unfortunately, the police were not able to catch them.

“Napan da manen inharang ti dumptruck da nga armado da,” he said.

The congressman expressed that he is not supposed to tell that they were receiving threats, but the opposition’s camp is already out of line.

“Nalampasan tayun iti politika dagiti dayo nga in-inmay ti ili tayo a narugit a politika, agusar da iti goons. Apay kayat yu ngarud nga agsubli tayo iti kasta. Saan tayo kuma a patulan datoy ta sitayo met ket agkakabagyan tayo ngem kunak gapu ta agsangsangit ni baket ko, saan tayo kuma a palampasen datoyen. Pangaasim apo PD ta tiliwem nu sino man dagita,” appealed Mangaoang to the police.

He further called the opposition to uphold their commitment to ‘honest and orderly elections’ that they have signed.

Appeal to voters

Mangaoang reiterated his appeal for the voters in the province to choose the candidates with passion to serve the public.

“Intun Lunes, pangaasi tayo kuma ta butusan tayo dagiti ammu tayo nga iti puso da ket agsirbi iti kinapudno kadatayo a kakailyan na nga taga-Kalinga. Uray kompormi nga position, pangaasi yu ta ikararag tayo nu bigat nu sino ti rebbeng na kuma nga butusan tayo. Ni Apo Diyos ti ammuk nga mangi-guide kadatayo,” he concluded.
