Tabuk City, Kalinga-Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang emphasized the importance of ‘educating society in molding the character, values, and competence of the community,’ pointing that what people become in life is a product of the lessons that they get in school.

Mangaoang made the remark during the opening program of the weeklong celebration of the 7th Founding Anniversary of the Schools Division of Tabuk City this July 5, 2021.

The congressman said that as children go through their formative grades, the school sets the ‘scholastic training that they may wish to take on later in life.’

“Their opinions may vary and they may have mix emotions, but when they will look back to their younger years, they will certainly discover that they are the product of the teachings of school-the Tabuk City School’s Division Office,” Mangaoang mentioned.

Congressman Mangaoang expressed gratitude to all those who helped and are still lending their hands since the commencement of Tabuk City Division. He recognized the contribution provided by other government agencies, especially the local government units, the private sectors, and students in public schools, given the limitations of the division’s Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE).

Mangaoang acknowledged that the biggest challenge the Tabuk City Division has to endure in its earliest years of existence concerns its line of share from the national budget that “is never enough because of the increasing number of enrollees and our compliance to the teacher-student ratio for optimal learning.”

“Bassit ti pondo nga agpaysu, dakkel ti expectations ti publiko ken dagiti iyuman ti skwelaan nga poblema kadagiti inmuna iti school’s division ngem itatta, maragsakan nak ta napapapintasen ti division office tayo, nalawa ken nadalus ken kaya yu metten makisabay,” congressman added.

Mangaoang extended his ‘sincerest regards to one and all’ and asked that teachers continue guiding the youth and community for a more progressive Tabuk City.

The congressman likewise applauded the work and effort of “more than 1,500 public servants under the Tabuk City Division who continuously look for ways with grace to maximize their resources and go the extra mile to provide the best for our youth”.
