Festivals in Cordillera to take spotlight on Nov. 11

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Mark your calendars for November 11 and be at the Rose Garden, Burnham Park in Baguio City to gain a quick insight into the fascinating culture of each of the provinces in the region through “Cordillera Festival of Festivals.”

This year, the Department of Tourism – Cordillera will be staging the event which was inaugurated last year as a celebration of victory and cultural reawakening.

The much-awaited festival highlights the rich and diverse cultures of Cordillerans to be portrayed creatively.

In August 2023, the regional tourism gathered the local festival organizers from various provinces for the three-day Festival Management and Choreography Training that aimed at providing participants with ‘valuable insights into the conceptualization, management, and organization of cultural festivals’ to enhance the overall festival experience.

The training, said the agency, served as a prelude to the Cordillera Festival of Festivals.

With ample preparation, the event is expected to entice the public to attend and celebrate the festival.

To be featured during the occasion are Apayao’s Lapat Festival, Baguio City’s Panagbenga Festival, Benguet’s Adivay Festival, Gotad Ad Ifugao, Kalinga’s Matagoan Festival and Laga Festival, and Mountain Province’s Lang-ay Festival.
