Forging stronger partnerships: Tinglayan Mayor Abay meets with national line agencies

Tinglayan, Kalinga – True to his ‘One Tinglayan’ campaign, newly seated Mayor Charles Abay recently met with national line agencies to forge stronger partnerships that unify government workers for responsive and people-centered governance.

 

Represented by Vice Mayor Alexander Malasi and Municipal Administrator, Attorney Mark Dave Bang-as, the Tinglayan Municipal LGU welcomed representatives from national agencies and provincial offices on July 9 to communicate possible plans, programs, and projects in town aside from the continuation of ongoing works.

Among those who came for a courtesy visit was the Tinglayan Municipal Police Station who introduced their officers to Mayor Abay and discussed continued collaboration with the new administration to sustain the peace and order. Likewise, the Philippine Red Cross came and expressed their intent for continued partnership with the municipality which is crucial to the provision of health services to the people.

 

Moreover, staff from the Department of Agriculture – CAR and the Provincial Government of Kalinga visited and discussed with the Municipal LGU their ongoing programs and projects and how they could work hand in hand to provide better services to the iTinglayans.

 

In an interview, Mayor Abay said that his administration is serious in working and collaborating with the different agencies to champion the needs and the welfare of every iTinglayan.

 

“Kitkitaen tayo ti pagsayaatan ti ili ken residents tayo, and we are working closely kadagiti line agencies tapno maited ti kasapulan ti tattao. Kasapulan tayo iti additional budget tapnu umanay nga mang cover kadagiti ad-adu pay nga proyekto ken services para kadagiti kakailyan. Dawatek met ti suporta ti amin nga kakailyan tapno agtuloy ti improvements ti ili tayo,” said the Mayor in an interview.
