Tabuk City, Kalinga - Kalinga Governor James S. Edduba warns the public against individuals allegedly using his mobile number and social media accounts to solicit money and material assistance.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, February 25, Edduba clarified that he is not asking for any form of cash or in-kind support from the public through Facebook, Messenger, Viber, or any of his accounts.

The governor has urged the people to ignore and refrain from entertaining such messages, and to report any suspicious transactions being made under his name.

“ To the public and to all who has my number please be warned that I am not soliciting any assistance whether in cash or in material using my account and my number in Facebook, messenger or viber or any of my account. Someone may have hack my number and is using to solicit from the public. Thank you,” Edduba wrote.

As this writing, Edduba did not yet release a follow-up statement regarding the hacking incident nor mentioned whether the matter has already been referred to the authorities.
