Gov. Tubban, PSWDO assist, condole with families of fatal vehicular accident

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Kalinga Governor Ferdinand Tubban, along with Provincial Social Welfare Development Officer (PSWDO) Rosemaritez Oyawon, on Monday, handed the provincial government’s assistance for each casualty, Php5,000.00 with a sack of rice as assistance to the bereaved families of the recent Bulo tragic accident.


Governor Tubban, upon learning of the incident, instructed the PSWDO to extend all possible assistance to the family of the 13 casualties after the SUV they were riding plunged in the irrigation canal at Bulo, Tabuk City on Sunday.

The governor and PSWDO Oyawon personally went to the wake of the victims at Purok 1, Bulanao.


The governor has also sent personnel to escort the remains of the five other casualties back to Tadian, Mountain Province.



With said incident, the governor directed the police to strictly implement the transportation laws and regulations and urged the local government units to enforce prohibition of non-essential activities and to enforce strictly the quarantine and lockdown protocols.


He further reminded the Provincial Disaster Risk Management Office (PDRRMO) to be prepared with their rescue and retrieval gears and equipment especially for such emergency.
