Tabuk City, Kalinga – As Christmas holiday season is fast approaching, Governor Ferdinand Tubban is reminding everyone to take extra precautions during celebrations so as to sustain the downtrend of COVID-19 cases in the province and avoid the usual holiday hazards.

Tubban made this appeal to the community during the joint meeting of Provincial Peace and Order (PPOC), Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), and Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) conducted on December 14, 2021.

Though the authorities will be deployed accordingly for the protection of the community, the governor encouraged the public to do their part to avoid accidents so they could experience the very essence of Christmas which is joy and peace.

To have their family protected, Tubban advised all eligible individuals including minors aged 12 to 17 to submit themselves for vaccination, at the sites established by various health offices with the declared local vaccination days from December 13 to 17, 2021.

He likewise asked that the community should avoid going out if not necessary for it is likely that they will meet accidents along the way.

The governor then instructed the concerned personnel and authorities to maintain peace and order throughout the holidays.
