Bangued, Abra - The Philippine National Police (PNP) revoked the gun licenses of former Bangued Mayor Ryan Seares Luna, naming him the alleged mastermind behind two deadly shooting incidents that left two people dead in Abra last month.

According to the information obtained by the media from Abra Police Provincial Director Froilan Lopez, police personally served the revocation order at Luna’s residence in Barangay Dangdala, Bangued, on Thursday, May 8.

The order was signed by PNP Firearms and Explosives Office Chief Brigadier General Ericson Dilag on May 2.

Along with the cancellation of his license, Luna was also ordered to surrender his eighteen registered firearms within three days, per directive from the Civil Security Unit Cordillera.

If Luna fails to turn over the firearms, the police will launch an immediate operation to confiscate them.

The revocation of Luna’s firearms licenses stems from two separate shooting incidents—one on April 21 in Tayum and another on April 27 in Bangued—in which he was named as the primary suspect.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) had already filed two counts of murder against him on April 30.
