Gunshots fired along provincial road in Tabuk being investigated

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Multiple gunshots were fired along the provincial road in Appas, allegedly just in front of City Vice Mayor Bernard Glenn Dao-as’ residence on Wednesday night, February 24.


Dao-as said that they were already in bed around 10:00 last night when they heard these successive gunshots fired.


“Idi matmaturog kamin around 10 pm adda ngay iti nangngeg mi nga mga 5 nga putok ditoy sangu mi. Nakamotor dagiay ngem dik ammu nu duwa da or nu maymaysa na diyay nagputok, idi binmatog da manen ijay stockpile ko nagputok manen iti naminduwa,” he said and that he immediately called the police.

The vice mayor added that this is the first time that such an incident happened to them.


“Haan nga usually met nga mangmangyari kanyami diyay, kasla first time ah nga nangyari kanyami ditoy Appas diyay nga adda agputok ditoy batog mi,” he said.


Additionally, he said nobody was hurt, “awan met iti ammuk ta kitaek met daytoy balay ket awan met iti natamaan ditoy balay isunga malamang pangatu diyay putok.”


Meantime, Kalinga Police Provincial Director PCol. Davy Vicente Limmong said that the incident is still under investigation for the identification of the suspect as well as the motive of the incident.


He added that empty shells of caliber 45 were recovered from the place of incident.
