Highest percentage of singles recorded in Tinglayan and Tanudan than other towns in Kalinga

Tinglayan, Kalinga – If you haven’t found ‘the one’ in Kalinga, you might have to visit towns where you are likely to have a higher chance of finding single people.

 

In the Marital Status of household population 10 years old and over in the province released on Tuesday by PSA Kalinga, June 4, 2024, it was revealed that the largest proportion of singles can be found in Tinglayan.

 

This means that there are more never been married individuals in the municipality than those who are married, has common-law wife and husband or those who are separated.

 

In 2020 data, 183,490 persons belong to household population ten years old and over. Out of this number, 79,373 were never married or single. This noted a decline of 2.6 percent of said marital status from that of 2015.


In Tinglayan, 10,575 belong to said group. Out of this number, 49.8 percent are never married.

 

Following closely is the municipality of Tanudan posting a proportion of 49.4 percent of single people from its 7,056 population of the same group.

 

Lubuagan municipality followed, with 47.1 percent of individuals who are single in a population of 7,519. Pasil, having a population of 8,673 for said age group, has 47 percent of never been married individuals.

 

For Balbalan, 46 percent in a population of 10,694 individuals are single, City of Tabuk – 42.4 percent in a population of 95,951 and Pinukpuk – 41.9 percent in a population of 27,316.

 

Meantime, Rizal noted the lowest proportion of singles with 37.7 percent of its population of the age group which is 15,706.
