Rizal, Kalinga – Acclaimed Hollywood actors and singers, Deborah Rennard and Al Sapienza, are all set to grace the stage at Rang-Ay Eco-Adventure & Resort in Babalag West, Rizal, Kalinga, for a mesmerizing musical event on Friday evening, January 05.

 

The duo, known for their iconic roles in TV shows like "Dallas" and "The Sopranos," will be showcasing their singing prowess in a concert aimed at benefiting individuals facing medical challenges.


The "Concert for a Cause," in partnership with the Rotary Club of Sta. Mesa and Chico River Foundation Inc., promises an evening filled with diverse musical selections, including tunes from Broadway, the melodies of Max Merchant, Neil Dunham, Barbra Streisand, and the legendary Beatles.

 

Guests can anticipate a vibrant showcase of hits spanning several eras, from the 60s and 70s to contemporary classics.

 

Rennard and Sapienza’s musical journey

Rennard, who had temporarily veered into producing before reigniting her passion for singing alongside Sapienza, highlighted the evolving balance between her acting and singing endeavors.

 

Sapienza, drawing from his childhood immersed in music, reminisced about his early influences and the seamless transition from Broadway to acting and ultimately, to the captivating world of performing music.

 

The dynamic duo recalled the inception of their collaboration, originating from charity events and gradually evolving into a full-fledged two-hour show. With each performance, they discovered the joy they brought to audiences and their own fulfillment in creating vibrant, engaging shows.

 

Sharing personal sentiments attached to the songs they are performing in their "Soundtrack of Our Lives" world tour which has been captivating audiences since 2016, Sapienza highlighted the transformative impact of The Beatles' "She Loves You," which marked a pivotal phase in his professional life.

 

Rennard resonated with Barbra Streisand's "Don't Rain on My Parade," expressing the song's significance in pursuing her dreams despite detours.
