Lagawe, Ifugao – Newly hired police officers from Ifugao secured three of the top spots in the recently concluded Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC) police training.

The PSBRC is a mandatory 6-month training program for newly hired police recruits in the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Leading the 200-strong police trainees under the PSBRC “MASALIBTAK” Class 2024-01 was Patrolman Rhodwil T. Cabbigat, from Kiangan, Ifugao, who graduated as the top 1 with a remarkable 91.82% rating.

Just behind him is fellow Ifugao native Patrolwoman Ge-Ann W. Palangyo from Tinoc, who clinched Top 2 with a 91.71% rating, followed by Patrolman Diego N. Culchi of Banaue, who was Top 3 with a 90.55% rating.

The graduation rites were held on June 14, 2025, at Camp Bado Dangwa in La Trinidad, Benguet, with graduates finally achieving their goal of becoming full-fledged police officers.

Police Regional Office-Cordillera Director PBGen. David Peredo Jr. personally awarded certificates and honors to the graduates and encouraged them to do their duties with honesty and apply what they learned during their training.

These proud sons and daughter of Ifugao now begin their journey as peacekeepers, carrying with them not just badges, but the hope and pride of their respective families and communities
