Asipulo, Ifugao - In a meaningful show of community support, the Ifugao Police Provincial Office (IPPO) officially turned over a total of P40, 000 in proceeds from its “Concert for a Cause” to Maloy Elementary School (MES) in Asipulo on September 4, 2025 at the Asipulo Municipal Gymnasium.

IPPO Provincial Director Colonel Jeremias Oyawon officially handed over P40,000 donation to MES Teacher-In-Charge Ofelia Catama. Additionally, Acting Chief of Police Lorna Butac of Asipulo Municipal Police Station presented a separate P25, 000 contribution raised independently by the station, giving the school a total of P65,000 donation.

Said donations will be allocated to the construction of a Children's Park on campus, enhancing the school’s dedication to offering a child-friendly and development-focused space and providing a secure and conducive environment for the young students.

It can be recalled that the concert was held on August 29, 2025, bringing together community members, local leaders, and music lovers. The program showcased the talents of the IPPO Band, FourMaind Band and local performers, highlighting the power of music as a tool of advocacy.

As cited by the DepEd Tayo Ifugao, Oyawon acknowledged the success of the initiative with pride, saying, “This project reflects our commitment not only to peace and order but also to the holistic development of our youth. We are honored to contribute to a space where children can feel safe, inspired, and feel free and most of all to fulfill their dreams.”

Meantime, the MES expressed sincere gratitude for the generous donation, driving the institution to push through the long-held goal of creating a Children’s Park; a space for joy and learning beyond the classroom for the students.
