Tabuk City, Kalinga - Children and adults in Kalinga requiring surgery operations benefited from the free surgical outreach of Mission 4 Kids, a global NGO led by its three dedicated oral and maxillofacial surgeons from Germany.

Under the organization’s banner “Healing Hearts, Saving Lives, Empowering Future,” the initiative—aimed at addressing health disparities throughout Luzon from Manila to Kalinga— offered essential medical aid to residents requiring surgery.

The founders of Mission 4 Kids who have previously provided hope and healing to numerous children in Africa are now sharing their expertise in the Philippines, honoring local communities, and showing dedication to making a significant impact on the country’s health sector.

The team, represented by Dr. Ali Tehrani, Dr. Thilo Saul, and Mohammad Abadi from Germany, has collaborated with the healthcare experts in Kalinga and provided the best possible care to iKalinga patients from February 1 to 2, 2025.

Those local health experts were Dr. Josephine Aguinalde, Dr. Delia Mangigil, Dr. Rhea Gayamos, Dr. Hazel Malasi, and Dr. Jira Baluga, who have been a great aid to the operations, making sure each patient obtains thorough care.

The collaboration is more than just a medical intervention; it also represents a testament to international and local collaboration, explained the Kalinga Information Office.

The effective combination of global and local knowledge in Kalinga establishes an encouraging example for more health projects in the province. Through commitment and common objectives, the collaboration demonstrated that healthcare is a universal language that goes beyond borders.
