‘Impossible to have a happy Christmas without strong police and community partnership’ – Gov. Tubban

Tabuk City, Kalinga — “Without the contribution of stakeholders for a safe, peaceful and orderly province, it is impossible to have a happy Christmas,” this was conveyed by Governor Ferdinand Tubban as the Kalinga police recognized the contributions of various sectors to peace and order in the province this December 17.


The governor, in his message, commended the Kalinga Police Provincial Office for organizing an event to acknowledge these various sectors who take part in the mission to keep Kalinga a safe and peaceful province.


Tubban explained that working together is an indispensable ingredient for the betterment of the province, “kayat na saoen, dakkel iti role iti tunggal maysa kadatayo. Ket kayat na saoen iti KPPO, adu iti mabalin nga aramiden da ngem haan da nga kaya nu is-isuda,” he said.

He related how the wise men, angels, the shepherd, the owner of the manger, and other players worked together to keep Jesus Christ safe from King Herod, adding that they worked together in order that the hope of humanity was to be saved from certain death.


“If we are to bring hope to Kalinga province, we cannot be divided. We cannot say that our job is just our job, and our work is not connected to others’ work,” he pointed.


Further, the governor emphasized that there are more than 200 thousand people in Kalinga, saying how are the 995 total strength of KPPO keep these people all safe. This is why he applauded the Kalinga police for having various means to coordinate with different agencies and private institutions in order to promote and sustain peace and order in the province.

“I am delighted that the police are not only trained to carry guns but also to carry a kind and caring heart,” he conveyed.


Tubban concluded his message by encouraging the police to show the people how they work hard for the safety, peace, and order of Kalinga as well as the care of the police for the people in order to deliver hope to the public.
