ISABELA ROAD ACCIDENT: Husband and wife die after car crashes against electric post

Isabela, Philippines – A husband and his wife were killed in a tragic road accident on midnight of October 9 in Santiago City.

Local police, as reported by XFM Santiago, disclosed that the couple was driving their Honda VTI sedan along the Provincial Road in Barangay Baluarte when their car moved to the side of the road and crashed against an electric post past 12:31 a.m.

The Traffic Enforcement Unit is looking into the possibility that the husband, 38 who was driving the car with his wife, 39 lost control of the steering wheel, which resulted in the crash.

“Ang lumalabas sa aming investigation is kumbaga na-lose control doon sa steering wheel … kaya siya pumagilid at bumangga doon sa may electric post,” PMSG. Bienvenido Seredio, the investigator on the case, said in his interview with XFM.

The couple was rushed to the Southern Isabela Medical Center by rescuers. Unfortunately, they did not make it in spite of efforts to revive them.
