Tabuk City, Kalinga – Isabela State University holds the most number of Level III accredited programs in the country in 2023, according to the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).

AACCUP is an agency that accredits curricular programs of state tertiary institutions in the country with its main purpose being "to develop a mechanism of, and conduct the evaluation of programs and institutions."

The accreditation, which aims to ensure that higher education meets acceptable levels of quality, is composed of the following stages: application, institutional self-survey, preliminary survey visit, 1st formal survey visit, 2nd, 3rd, and the 4th survey visit.

Several programs being offered at the Isabela State University (ISU) have already passed the Level III or the 3rd survey visit, which evaluated certain offerings of the school in terms of instruction, extension, research, performance in licensure examinations, faculty development, and linkages.

Having the greatest number of Level III accredited programs among the state universities and colleges in the country, ISU was named by AACCUP as the top-performing state university in the category.

In a Facebook post, ISU wrote that the award is a manifestation of the school’s commitment to quality and relevant education, and the hard work of the faculty, staff, and students.

"Together, ISU continues to soar to greater heights and make a lasting impact on our community and beyond," they emphasized.
