Tinglayan, Kalinga – A registered nurse from Tinglayan, Kalinga is set to add another feather on his cap as he graduates as one of the top-performing officer candidates of the Philippine Army this year.

P2LT Benzar Batang-og of Ambato-Legleg is one of the 307 members of the ‘NAGDILAAB’ Class 62-2025 who are set to complete their journey at the Philippine Army Officer Candidate School on June 6.

Batang-og, who is the Committee Head of the Medical Committee of his class, was named Top 4.

Before he decided to join the uniformed service, Batang-og finished his degree in Nursing at the Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (now MPSPU) in 2023 and passed the board examination the same year.

A year after getting his professional license in nursing, the top-performing candidate officer took the path to serve the country through the Philippine Army, where he is now set to graduate and officially perform his duty to the Philippines and the Filipinos.

Joining Batang-og in the top 10 include fellow Cordilleran P2LT Jurinia Bad-ang of Ifugao, top 2 and Physical Proficiency awardee, and P2LT Clarence Coseph of Benguet, Top 10.
