JOIN ‘Tanudan Run 2025’ in November and be part of formal opening of Tawang Falls!

Tanudan, Kalinga – The crystal clear Tawang Falls in Tanudan is set to be formally opened as one of the town’s tourism destinations through the ‘Tanudan Run 2025’ in November; registration for the event is ongoing.

The Tawang Falls is found in the Donglayan River in Sitio Cabugao, Pangol – a 30-minute ride from the Province’s Capital, Tabuk City. The falls offer a beautiful view, clear waters, and a ‘perfect place’ for swimming.

To officially open the destination to the public, the Municipality of Tanudan, through its Tourism Office, initiated a fun run to be held on November 22, which will cover the scenic trails of Pagugo, Bawac, Darulog, Ammaboy, Magtoma, Baccong, Liyang, and Sitio Cabugao, Pangol. This will allow the participants to better immerse themselves in the beauty of lower Tanudan, including the hospitality of the people.

The Tanudan Run 2025 is split into three categories – 21 KM, 12KM, and 6KM run. For the 21KM it will start at 5:00 a.m. at the Tanudan Welcome Arc to Pagugo and to Tawang Falls. This category has a P1,600 registration fee, which provides the participants with finisher’s medal, race bib, shirt, tumbler, post-race meal, and freebies.

The 12KM, which begins at 5:30 a.m. at Darulog Elementary School to Tawang Falls, has P1,200 registration fee. The amount will cover finisher’s medal, race bib, finisher shirt, and post-race meal. The 6KM, meanwhile, starts at 6:30 a.m. at Ammaboy and will end at Tawang Falls with P600 registration fee, which includes a medal, race bib, and post run meal.

Interested participants are encouraged to register through https://bit.ly/tanudanrun2025 . Proceeds collected from the event will be used for the construction of male and female ‘nature-like’ comfort rooms at the site.

Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag is inviting the runners and nature lovers to register and be part of the launch of the Tawang Falls and experience the wonders that the lower Tanudan, particularly the Tawang Falls, could offer.

“Maawis iti amin ditoy Tanudan Run 2025, daytoy ket haan lang nga para iti Tanudan wennu daduma pay nga municipalidad ken city iti Kalinga, nu di ket open daytoy activity tayo iti amin nga mangayat. Mayat daytoy nga activity karkaru nu iti kayat mo ket agpasyar, ag-relax, ken ag-unwind,” the mayor said.
