Join the Ranks: Philippine Army recruitment drive to be held at Kalinga Capitol on Feb. 6

Tabuk City, Kalinga — The Philippine Army is set to bring career opportunities closer to the people of Kalinga through its Recruitment Information Drive on February 6, 2026, at the Grass Court, Provincial Capitol Compound in Bulanao, Tabuk City.


According to the Office of Governor James S. Edduba, the activity is open to aspiring applicants who wish to serve the country in uniform through two available entry programs: the Officer Candidate Course (OCC) and the Candidate Soldier Course (CSC).


For those aiming to become Army officers, the Officer Candidate Course is open to college degree holders aged 20 to 27 years old upon oath-taking.


Applicants must be natural-born Filipinos, at least five feet tall, physically and mentally fit, and free of any pending court cases. Required initial documents include a college diploma, transcript of records, PSA-issued birth certificate, and any government-issued ID.


Meanwhile, the Candidate Soldier Course is open to senior high school graduates or individuals with at least 72 college units, aged 18 to 29 years old upon oath-taking.


Applicants for this course must likewise meet the height, fitness, citizenship, and legal requirements. Documentary requirements include a senior high school diploma, Form 10 (high school academic record), a PSA-issued birth certificate, and a government-issued ID.


Applicants who are interested in applying and have not yet taken the Armed Forces of the Philippines Service Aptitude Test (AFPSAT) are advised to bring their initial requirements.


To be conducted as part of the Kalinga 31st Founding Anniversary and 7th Bodong Festival this February, the recruitment drive aims to inform, guide, and screen potential applicants who are interested in joining the ranks of the Philippine Army and pursuing a career in public service.


Interested individuals are encouraged to attend and bring their basic documents for initial evaluation. The recruitment drive will start at 9:00 a.m. on the said date.
