Kalinga PLGU gets 100% rating in the 2024 project monitoring assessment

Tabuk City, Kalinga - Another testament to the hard work of Kalinga local leaders was achieved as the province received a 100 percent high functionality rating in the 2024 Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC) assessment.   

 

With its perfect rating, Kalinga emerged as one of the top three performers in 2024 LPMC functionality in Cordillera. The two other top performers included the province of Apayao and Baguio City, which also got 100% scores. 

 

This is a major improvement for the province, since it only had a 55.55% LMPC rating in 2023.

Apart from the provincial government, its seven municipalities and lone city (Balbalan, Tinglayan, Tanudan, Lubuagan, Rizal, Pinukpuk, Pasil, and Tabuk City) also received perfect scores.  

 

Conducted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the LPMC assessment checks the performance of LGUs in the country on how they carry out their responsibilities in the implementation of various government-funded projects in their respective areas.  

 

The assessment evaluates various aspects, including organization, planning, operation, and monitoring.  

 

Kalinga PLGU’s attainment of a 100% score showed the commitment and teamwork of the local leaders, national line agencies, government staff, and community members in ensuring that projects in the province are are well-managed and implemented.

 

Governor James Sagmayao Edduba lauded the commitment and dedication of all offices and officers that worked together to ensure that projects are implemented well, “I congratulate all our hardworking employees and offices. Daytoy ti mangipakita nga agserserbi tayo a nasayaat kadagiti kakailyan tayo. Makita da nga saan met mashort-change. Makita da nga ado met ti mayat nga ma-araramidan tayo.”
