Kalinga Provincial Meet 2024 set on Jan. 24 – 28 in Rizal

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The largest gathering of young athletes in Kalinga for 2024 is taking place in two weeks.

Student players and authorities are currently gearing up for the competition as this year’s Kalinga Provincial Athletic Meet is scheduled for January 24 – 28, 2023, at the Macutay-Palao National High School.

This information was relayed by Kalinga Provincial Information Officer Dionica Legasi after the Kapehan sa Kapitolyo on January 8.

As part of the preparation, Governor James Edduba met with the different local chief executives in Kalinga on January 4 to discuss the LGUs' role in the activity and other necessary matters for a smooth and successful sports event.

Legasi relayed that Governor Edduba is emphasizing meticulous planning for the event, as he believes that a well-executed Provincial Meet will encourage young athletes in Kalinga to continue participating in sports activities.

In the previous year's provincial athletic meet, the Municipality of Balbalan dominated with 63 gold medals, 44 silver, and 30 bronze; followed by Rizal and Tanudan.
