Kalinga tourism offers Virtual Touring as alternative during pandemic

Tabuk City, Kalinga―In light with the restrictions of CoViD-19 on tourism activities in the province, Office of the Provincial Administrator - Tourism Services opted for virtual touring of the different tourist spots and presentation of traditional products in Kalinga.

OPAD-Tourism Services Tourism Operations Officer I Chrystaline Balicao said through the Isangguni sa Ating Governador program aired in a radio station, she encourages and invites yKalingas to join their office on virtual touring by following their official Facebook page, Kalinga Tourism, Philippines.

“We are focusing na sa activity natin na virtual touring so yun parang ito na yung way natin to support the cultural tourism helping the tourism entities na magadopt sa new reality. So dito sa ating program na to, madedevelop natin yung creation of new linkages, creating new partnership with other private and public entities or organizations,” she said.

Said virtual tour is also their way of diversifying traditional products from the province as preparation for them to adopt on the new normal.

In addition, Balicao said this is a great way for the provincial tourism to gaining more tourists once travel and tourism industry will open to the public.

“Also mag aattract tayo ng audiences so with this yung pagpopost natin sa Facebook, online or virtual touring dito tayo makakaattract nga mga viewers natin at mga viewers natin so they are also our target market pag naopen na ang ating tourism dito sa Kalinga,” she said.
