Tabuk City, Kalinga - With its improved human resource systems, the Kalinga State University (KSU), the only university in Kalinga, was awarded a certificate of recognition by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) on Monday, September 1.

The recognition was announced and given during the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary celebration held on said date at the Tabuk People’s Gymnasium.

According to the CSC, the recognition is given to government agencies or public institutions that have already reached Maturity Level 2 under the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM).

This means that KSU now has better and more organized HR processes that are regularly followed, especially in recognizing and rewarding the performance of its employees.

Receiving the award was University President Dr. Joy Grace P. Doctor, along with other officials of the said institution.

In a Facebook post, KSU said the award demonstrates the university’s firm commitment and significant efforts to foster people-oriented excellence within the institution, guaranteeing that its staff maintains the provision of efficient and effective public service.

“KSU’s recognition through the PRIME-HRM mechanism also underscores the university’s alignment with the CSC’s vision of becoming a Center of Excellence for Human Resource and Organization Development,” the university added.
