Let’s go to Tinglayan! Vaxxed tourists can now see Whang-od

Tinglayan, Kalinga – Aiming to boost the municipality’s tourism industry heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, Mayor Sacrament Gumilab issued an order on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, lifting the suspension of tourism activities in Tinglayan.


Executive Order No. 02 only requires tourists to be fully vaccinated. If not, then a negative result of Reverse Transcriptase – Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) taken within 72 hours prior to arrival.


The travel guidelines and restrictions are put in place, the mayor explained, to control possible infection and spread of the virus in the municipality.


Tinglayan is, as of today, COVID-free.

Entry procedure set by the LGU


All tourists are required to register at the designated municipal and barangay information centers. The municipal and barangay officials hold no responsibility for any unregistered tourists should nothing unwanted happen to them.


After registration, each tourist must pay an amount of P100 for maintenance. The environmental fee is in accordance with the Revenue Code.

Later, the Tinglayan TourGuide Association (TTGA) shall assign a guide to assist visitors for a safe, fun and relaxing travel.


“Tinglayan welcomes everyone who wishes to experience its wonders and diverse culture. May everyone experience a wonderful and relaxing trip in the municipality of Tinglayan,” said the Municipal Information Office.
