Tabuk City, Kalinga – In celebration of the World Teacher’s Day this October 5, 2021, Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang expressed honor and gratitude to the teachers who have been working day and night in various modalities just to make sure our children get the education they deserve.

The solon then encouraged the selfless teachers to continue their ‘heroism to inspire, grow and mold other people.’

In his message, Mangaoang described the teachers as ‘the light of the world, the bacon in the dark and the hope that gives us strength to be better persons.’

Teachers, he said, have surely been a ray of hope despite the tough times brought by the pandemic.

Even when their works are oftentimes undervalued, the solon uplifted the teachers, saying “we know very well that you are happier and fulfilled whenever your students evolve in metamorphosis to be better and more successful than you.”

“It is indeed an honor and privilege to be taught by such experts who have not only guided us professionally but also helped us personally in our problems with utmost understanding and believe in us,” said the solon.

Mangaoang further relayed that by practicing their profession, teachers are following Jesus’ command as He instructed the first teacher in Exodus 4:12, which states, “Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak.”

In including his message, the solon invited everyone to join him in prayer for the repose of the soul of all teachers who have succumbed to the dreaded virus.
