Tabuk City, Kalinga – Some job order workers of the provincial government will not be accommodated next quarter due to limited fund sources for their wages.

Kalinga Provincial Accountant George Ban-os, in a statement during the Isangguni sa Ating Gobernador radio program on April 13, said that the province is dependent on its IRA or Internal Revenue Allotment, and that during the first quarter, allotted funds had been depleted and they were forced to terminate some of the job orders.

“Ammu tayo met a ti probinsiya tayo ket haan unay a dakkel kumpara iti daduma. Tapos dependent tayo ngamin iti IRA. Limitado ngay iti pondo iti probinsiya tapos nu panggep pay iti collection iti income bassit met lang,” he said.

“During the 1st quarter, depleted iti pondo tayo ta daytoy garud bassit iti pondo nu panggep iti pagsuweldoan iti job orders, contract of services. But anyway, ni governor met piman ket irem-remedyo na,” he added.

“Tapos adu pay gamin iti masapul a mapunduan nga importante a mapanan iti basic services. So nu daytoy lang gamin suweldo iti job orders dagitoy contract of service ket limitado ta diay garud, ial-allocate tayo met iti basic services iti daduma a sector,” he said.

Ban-os said that inasmuch as Provincial Governor Engr. Ferdinand Tubban wants to accommodate everyone, especially those who had lost their jobs due to the pandemic, they had no choice but to terminate some JOs. He said that he is looking for means to accommodate them sooner.

“Adda iti ibagbaga tayo nga agpa-supplemental tu tapnu ma-accommodate dagitoy kakailyan a naikkat,” the governor said.

On delayed wage of job orders

Ban-os, during the program also answered the question why the wage of the job orders get delayed sometimes.

“Umuna, adda ngamin iti masursurot a proseso, haan a basta basta a nu kayat tayo nga agsuweldo ket iyaramidan tayo latta iti payroll ket mai-cheque or maipisok tayo idiay ATM,” he said.

These basic processes, he said, include the filling out of DTR, then followed by the payroll which shall be submitted to the budget office.

“Ta nu mapan idiay budget ket nu kitan ni budget officer nga awan pondo na, diay kasla ma-delay pay lang, maiuray,” he said.

From the budget officer, the payroll will go to the accounting, “tattan nu nakita mi a kompleto iti supporting documents na awan met rason a haan tayo i-release ta kaasi met iman dagitoy kakailyan nga agur-uray, agnamnama kadagitoy a masuweldo da,” Ban-os said.

He advised the job orders to always ensure that their documents are complete before submitting, otherwise it will be returned causing another delay of their wage.

“Ti makitak a madelay-an na daytoy siguro adda met lang kanya tayo ... at least makumpleto kuma tapnu haan tu nga agsubli subli. Kompleto kuma tapnu agdederetso iti pannagna na a kunada,” he said.
