Live-in couple arrested after selling suspected shabu in Baguio City

Baguio City, Philippines – A live-in couple ages 19 and 20 were arrested after selling suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation Wednesday night, March 3 at Tam-awan Long Long Road.


The Philippine National Police Cordillera reported that suspects Carl Adam Resurrecion, 20 and Monique Garcia Melchor, 19 were arrested for peddling a sachet of suspected shabu weighing at least 0.9 gram and worth P6,120 to an undercover operative.

Additionally, another two pieces of heat sealed alleged shabu weighing at least 1.5 grams and worth P10,200 were seized from Melchor. Other items recovered include the buy-bust money, a coin purse, and a motorcycle.


Resurrection is listed as a Street Level individual and is one among people included in the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s target list.


The couple were charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
