Lubuagan, Kalinga—Lubuagan Mayor Charisma Anne Dickpus expressed her full support to the Philippine National Police, especially those assigned in Lubuagan, as she recognized their vital role in promoting peace, order, and public safety.

Dickpus made this remark during the blessing and inauguration of the new Lubuagan Municipal Police Station on Friday, July 2, 2021, as she underscored the importance of enforcing laws and ordinances. She expressed hope that with the establishment of their office, they will be more inspired to improve their performance in carrying out their duties and services.

“Kadagituy Kapulisan ti Lubuagan, namnamaen yu ti suporta ti munisipyo, nu anya man dagidiay kayat yu a dawaten tapnu iti kasta ket puminpintas pay iti serbisyo tayu, ket adda tayu laeng dituy a naka-ready a tumulung,” the municipal mayor said.

Dickpus advised the officers to craft and implement policies in order for them to build better relationships with the community, explaining that the police need the community as a partner to achieve order and peace in the community.

Dickpus also requested for the deployment of police officers in the barangays to immediately respond to the needs of the community if their services are needed.

“Mabalin sa met a dagituy a kapulisan tayu ket adda mai-assign kadagiti bar-barangay, like the doctor in the barrio tapnu anytime nga adda agkasapulan ket adda da latta. So much more kuma kadagituy kapulisan ta isuda ti mang-tutok kadagiti bar-barangay tayu tapnu adda man iti problema ket as-asideg da met nga agresponde,” she stated.

Further, Mayor Dickpus expressed gratitude and congratulated those behind the realization of the project, saying that without them, the undertaking would not materialize.

Funding for the project, she said, has been allocated during the previous administration while its completion happened this year.
