Baguio City, Philippines – Mayor Benjamin Magalong has ordered authorities to tighten monitoring of parks in Baguio City after two men were recently caught having sex at the Burnham Park.

Talking before the media on Monday, April 28, Mayor Magalong sounded unsurprised about the recent report on sexual activity at the Burnham Park, which led to the arrest of two men for grave scandal.

The two, aged 47 and 27, were temporarily released from jail after they each paid their P3,000 bail.

According to Magalong, they have been monitoring lewd activities last month, so the authorities had to strictly keep an eye on parks.

“Last month pa yan eh na namo-monitor namin tapos ngayon naumpisahan na naman. Nahinto nung talagang pinatutukan namin tapos nagkakaroon na naman ng mga ganung incident,” he said in his interview with the media uploaded by the Baguio City Public Information Office.

The mayor added he directed the City Environment and Parks Management Office, the PNP Baguio, and security guards of parks to strictly patrol and monitor these public areas to prevent scandalous activities, saying, “talagang kailangan maging pro-active doon.”
