Tanudan, Kalinga – Work with heart. This is the advice of Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag to the cash-for-work program beneficiaries from Kalinga State University.

On April 4, Mayor Dagadag, represented by his Executive Assistant Alex Ladwingon, graced the Department of Social Welfare and Development cash-for-work program orientation at the Kalinga State University (KSU).

This initiative provides 90-day employment with a compensation of P430 per day to 500 KSU graduates from 2021 to 2023, as well as some students who are currently enrolled in the university and have yet to secure stable employment.

Relaying Dagadag’s words, Ladwingon expressed that the Tanudan Local Government Unit warmly welcomes those who will be deployed in the municipality and assured them that the LGU will take care of them.

“Imbagan pay ni apo Mayor nga sapay kuma nu ma-hire kayo ket agtrabaho tayo a sipupuso, haan nga aramiden tayo ti trabaho tayo gapo ta bayadan datayo ti gobyerno nu di ket agtrabaho tayo gapo ta kinayat tayo ti trabaho tayo,” he said.

The mayor further emphasized that serving the public could be one of the highlights of one’s career, which is why he encouraged them to work with heart and provide quality services to the 'kakailyans'.

Meanwhile, Mayor Dagadag acknowledged the DSWD Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) and the KSU for providing this opportunity to the 500 graduates and students, stating that this is a stepping stone for the beneficiaries while they are still seeking stable employment.
