Mayor Martinez lauds 3 New Licensed Physicians of Santa Marcela, encourages them to serve well

Santa Marcela, Apayao - Mayor Evelyn B. Martinez on Monday, April 14 lauded the three (3) New Licensed Physicians from the municipality who passed the March-April 2025 Physician Licensure Exam (PLE) administered across 13 testing centers nationwide.

 

The successful examinees who can now engage in the practice of medicine are Dr. Angelique J. Caluducan from Barangay Marcela and alumna of Mariano Marcos State University(MMSU), Dr. Kimberly P. Abian and Dr. Mirriam Krizzle Mae B. Umblas, both are residents of Barangay San Mariano.

 

Based on the results released by the Philippine Regulation Commisssion (PRC), the new doctors were among the 1,901 passers. This is about 49.70percent out of the 3,827 takers during the March 30-31 and April 6-7, 2025 scheduled exams.

 

The same period last year, out of 3,434 takers 1,906 passed the PLE.


Martinez, in her statement, commended the achievement of said new doctors underlining that their success will make a difference and positive impact to others as they render healthcare services among the townspeople.


‘’Your hard work, dedication, and determination have led to this incredible achievement. This success brings pride not only to your families but to the entire Santa Marcela community. We honor your commitment to the medical field and your unwavering desire to help others. You’re a testament of  perseverance, and you have proven that with hard work and passion, great things are possible,’’ Mayor Martinez said as she encouraged them to serve well.


The PLE was held simultaneously in Manila (NCR), Baguio, Tuguegarao, Pampanga, Legazpi, Lucena, Rosales, Tacloban, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, and Zamboanga.
