Mayor Martinez of Santa Marcela, Apayao underscores LGU plans on public welfare during Executive Briefing

Santa Marcela, Apayao - Mayor Evelyn B. Martinez of Santa Marcela, Apayao during their Executive briefing held on August 7, underlined that all programs, projects and plans of the Local Government Unit (LGU) shall be focused on the welfare of the public.

‘’Dagiti naaramid tayon nga plano ken dagiti iplano tayo nga ipatungpal ket para amin iti pagsayaatan dagiti lumugar ken iti publiko, she stressed encouraging the LGU officials to prioritize implementing solutions to the municipality’s identified pressing concerns.

During the meeting, major plans and initiatives for Financial stability, environmental protection, economic growth, infrastructure developments, peace and order, and advancement in improved administration were discussed.

The Executive briefing was held as a venue for the LGU officials and concerned sectors towards collective decisions in providing solutions to identified problems. It was conducted as a platform for data-driven planning fostering good local governance. The undertaking also served as an orientation for the newly minted officials in town to acquaint themselves to governance gaps and other crucial issues.

Mayor Martinez was joined by Vice-Mayor Rolly Guiang, Sangguniang Bayan members, MPDC Larry Balanay, LGU Department heads and key personnel, National Line Agencies representatives, and other Local officials in town.

Next week, August 18-20 Santa Marcela LGU officials together with the newly elected will participate in the DILG’s NEO PLUS training in Baguio City - a capacity development program anchored on strategic leadership and competencies, management systems and local policy, and service delivery through partnerships and innovation.

It is hoped that the Local Government Unit under the leadership of Mayor Martinez will carry on its exemplar management providing real solutions to problems and upgrading the quality of public service delivery among its people.
