Mother’s Concern Leads to Grim Discovery: 21-year-old student found dead in La Trinidad boarding house

La Trinidad, Benguet – If not for the persistent calls of a mother, the body of a 21-year-old student might not have been discovered for some time.

According to a report from the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station, a student was found dead inside her boarding house in Barangay Betag, La Trinidad, Benguet.

The report did not specify the exact date of the discovery of the dead body but stated that the incident transpired earlier this week.

Police said the victim’s mother had been calling her daughter repeatedly but received no response. Alarmed, she sought the help of a relative to check on her daughter’s situation. Upon arriving at the boarding house, the relative found the victim lying and unresponsive inside her room.

The incident was immediately reported to the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station, which then requested the Benguet Provincial Forensic Unit to conduct a technical investigation and process the scene.

As of this writing, authorities have not released further details as the investigation remains ongoing.

The victim’s identity is being withheld to protect the privacy of the grieving family.
