Tabuk City, Kalinga – Tabuk City, according to directive of Mayor Darwin Estrañero through Executive Order No. 03 (EO 03) done Thursday, January 14, 2021, now requires a negative swab result and/or Medical Certificate from the LGU of origin which shall be presented at the city’s checkpoints by an incoming traveler before entry.

If there is no swab result being presented, they are subjected to undergo a mandatory triaging at the city’s Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facilty (TTMF) located in Agbannawag. The same mandatory triaging shall also be applied to all incoming residents and visitors even with swab results.

Other requirements include Travel Authority, valid identification; and a valid Travel Order specifying purposes and duration of official travels for government officials and personnel.

The EO also stated that all persons coming from other municipalities within Kalinga are required to present their Valid ID, Travel Pass and Medical Certificate.

It also mandated all persons coming in to the city to register in a logbook provided at the checkpoint and should state their name and age; address; place of origin and destination; purpose/s and persons to visit; date and time of arrival at the checkpoint; and duration of stay in Tabuk.

Meanwhile, Tabuk City has established a Quarantine Checkpoint at the 77th Infantry Brigade located in Barangay Bantay “to monitor and document visitors, travelers and returning Tabuk City residents entering Tabuk by way of Tinglayan, Lubuagan, Pasil and Lubuagan.”

Tabuk City Information Office said that this came “after it was found out that travellers have been sneaking into Tabuk by way of the other municipalities to avoid quarantine protocols at the border checkpoints.”

Said checkpoint shall be manned 24/7 by personnel coming from the AFP, PNP, RHU and the Barangay Council under the City Health Office supervision who shall strictly impose rules stated in EO 03.

As of yesterday, there are 65 active CoViD-19 cases in Tabuk City. 18 more new cases were added today, January 15, 2021.
