Apayao, Philippines - The 2025 midterm Local Elections in Apayao went seamlessly with no Automated Counting Machine (ACM) malfunction encountered in all 159 polling centers province-wide, Comelec Apayao Provincial Office said on May 13.

According to the report relayed by the DICT, MIRU, and DOST to COMELEC-Apayao, the two (2) Apayao Technical Hubs (a call center hub that will cater to queries and concerns for Eleksyon 2025) in Conner and Luna did not record any major issues throughout Election Day.

However, while there were slight technical glitches encountered in some voting precincts, like scanner and feeder problems, these were resolved immediately through compliance with the provided procedures stated in COMELEC Resolutions 11101 and 11128.

In Apayao, there are a total of 83,441 registered voters who cast their votes. 8,671 in Santa Marcela; 11,855 in Flora; 12,891 in Luna;18,566 in Conner; 10,316 in Pudtol; 12,081 in Kabugao; and 9,061 in Calanasan.

COMELEC-central office said that there was a record of 311 ACMs that malfunctioned nationwide but were replaced by backup units, fewer than 2,500 vote-counting machines that malfunctioned in the 2022 polls.

‘’All election forms, supplies, paraphernalia, poll workers, security and medics personnel, and voters have been in place,’’ Provincial Election Supervisor II and Provincial Board of Canvassers (PBOC) Atty. Mae Richelle Belmes Chaudhary conveyed.
