‘Nu next nga bike fest tayo manen ket saysayaaten tayo pay—napinpintas ken naen-enjoy tu pay,’ –BM Amla assures thrilling Bike Fest next year

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Following the successful staging of the 2026 Lumin-Awa Bike Fest on February 15, Board Member Julius Glen Amla assured participants and organizers that future editions of the event will be even more organized and enjoyable.


With this year’s bike fest yielding positive results and gaining strong support from partner agencies, including cyclists from different provinces, the board member, along with the organizers, is already looking ahead to enhance the overall experience in upcoming biking events.


During the closing program, Amla began by thanking all participants, volunteers, and partner agencies for their contributions in making the event a success.


“Salamat unay ken dakayao nga bisitas mi nga nagapo ti naduma-duma nga probinsya—from Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, and Quirino—salamat ti iyu-umay yo ditoy ili mi nga Kalinga. Ket kayat ko met lang kuma nga agpasalamat kanyayo amin nga tinmulong—dagiti BFP, DOH, PDRRMC, ken dadduma pay—adda kami nga agpasalamat ti efforts yo amin ta nagbalin nga successful daytoy nga bike fest tayo ti 2026,” he said.


He further asked for understanding from visitors in case of any shortcomings this year and promised a smoother and more exciting experience next time, including improved routes and activities for attendees.


“… sapay kuma ta agsubli kayo manen nu next ta ganganasen tayo pay—ad-ado kayon tu pay kuma. Ket nu anya man ti nagkurangan mi, ket agpasensya kami. Nu next nga bike fest tayo manen ket saysayaaten mi pay—sabalin tu manen nga rota, napinpintas ken naen-enjoy tu manen kas panag-enjoy tayo tatta,” he added.


The 2026 Lumin-Awa Bike Fest featured various categories: 46 years old and above; 31 to 45 years old; 16 to 20 years old; 15 years old and below; and the Fun Bike Category—attracting hundreds of participants and local spectators. Amla expressed optimism that, with lessons learned from this year’s event, future editions will continue to grow both in scale and enjoyment.
