One night anti-drug operations in Baguio City captured 3 drug personalities

Baguio City, Philippines – Three drug personalities were arrested by the operatives in the region in an overnight anti-drug operations this November 23, 2020.

According to PDEA Cordillera, drug dealers in tandem identified as Joshua Stephen Alsisto and Denise Gayle Valencia who are both from Baguio City were arrested by joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Philippine National Police – Cordillera.

Confiscated item from them include 65 grams of suspected shabu which is worth almost half a million pesos, drug paraphernalia, a gun and live ammunitions.

PDEA Cordillera stated that these pieces of evidence imply the threat and the danger they pose to the people.

“Authorities are having an in-depth investigation into these persons for they are allegedly related to the drug barons operating widely in the city,” PDEA Cordillera post reads.

Couple of hours after the arrest of these two, another man from Bauang, La Union was arrested in Sto. Tomas, Baguio City after selling a gram of alleged shabu to an undercover operative. The suspect is identified as Rodolfo Resurrection.

P.7M Marijuana plants destroyed in Bakun, Benguet

Further, P712,000 worth of Marijuana plants were destroyed in Bakun, Benguet this weekend, November 21 and 22.

According to PNP Cordillera FB Page, operatives of Benguet Police Provincial Office discovered 5 different plantations with a total land area of 1,320 square meters.

There were no cultivators arrested but the PNP is conducting further investigation for the identification of the owners and cultivators of the 5 plantations.
