The MAIFIP covers drugs and medicines, laboratory, imaging, radiological, and dental cases requiring implants, medical devices, prescribed post-hospitalization, rehabilitation services, aftercare programs, appropriate mental and psychosocial support, and hospital bills, among others.

As mentioned by the Philippine Information Agency - Cordillera, the target beneficiaries of the program were indigent patients who were admitted to government hospitals.

In 2023, one hundred thousand indigent patients in the region already benefited from the program, receiving a total of P520.4 million worth of medical and financial aid from the DOH - Cordillera.
