Ifugao, Philippines - To hasten justice, Senator “Idol” Tulfo announced he is offering P500,000 cash reward to anyone who can provide credible information that will lead to the arrest of the person behind the murder of Maehyezine Get-ang Concepcion, a student of Ifugao State University.

The body of the 20-year-old victim, who had been missing since February 20, 2025, was discovered on March 11 floating in an irrigation canal in Barangay Salinungan West, San Mateo, Isabela.

When found, her body was wrapped in a blanket with her hands tied.

Tulfo, in a Facebook post, recalled that the family of the victim sought help through his popular program “Raffy Tulfo in Action” on March 20.

The case has since remained unsolved, and Tulfo expressed concern over the slow pace of investigation.

Ifugao police initially investigated two persons of interest - a former suitor and another alleged lover of Maehyezine, aside from her husband, Fred Concepcion, who voluntarily took a lie detector test to prove his innocence. The result later showed he was telling the truth.

On July 17, Tulfo contacted the Chief of Police of Alfonso Lista Municipal Station, PCPT Ruben Balonoy, to follow up on the developments of the investigation. Balonoy said a new witness came forward, claiming to have seen the victim riding a motorcycle with another man before she went missing. The man’s identity, however, remains unknown due to the lack of CCTV in the area, which could have recorded footage.

Balonoy added that a new suspect emerged - Maehyezine’s own uncle, Ali Ahmed.

The victim’s motorcycle was found abandoned by the authorities near Ahmed’s house.

“May usap-usapan din daw sa kanilang lugar na nagkaroon ng relasyon si Maehyezine at Ahmed, at ito ang biological father ng anak ni Maehyezine at hindi si Fred,” relayed Tulfo in a post.

Marissa Get-ang, the victim’s mother, revealed her daughter lived with Ahmed for three weeks to care for his children, but later left due to Ahmed’s inappropriate behavior. Marissa added that Maehyezine once confided that Ahmed asked her to run away to Manila.

Marissa further claimed that Ahmed has been harassing her with threatening messages in recent weeks.

In his program last week, Tulfo reached out to PCol. Jeremias Oyawon, the Provincial Director of the Ifugao Police Provincial Office, and recommended that the case be turned over to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group to speed up the investigation.

During their conversation on air, Tulfo offered P500,000 cash bounty for information leading to the arrest of Maehyezine’s killer.

Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact the nearest police station or reach out to Raffy Tulfo in Action team.
