P59M marijuana destroyed in Kalinga; cops found 280kg bricks, stalks on site

Tinglayan, Kalinga – Authorities during a marijuana eradication operation discovered 280 kilograms of suspected marijuana bricks and dried stalks afternoon of April 21.


Based on police report, the authorities after razing the first two Marijuana plantation sites in the mountains in Barangay Loccong, discovered the harvest while looking for a place to rest.



The find consist of at least 270 kilograms of alleged marijuana bricks packed inside 7 sacks and 10 kilograms of marijuana dried stalks covered with 2 folded blue canvas with a standard drug price (SDP) value of P33,600,000.00.


The uprooted 128,800 fully grown marijuana plants from the 3 different plantation sites is valued at P25,760,000 SDP.


The uprooted marijuana plants along with the bricks and stalks were burned on-site. There were no cultivators apprehended.
